Stopped in as I was in town for work and found this gem. Service was fantastic and even got some good real estate tips! Got a cheese steak the way I like it and it was everything you want a cheesesteak to be. I'll be back to try some of their other offerings. Pretty much takeout only, order through a window situation. Seriously will make a point to go back here. Fries were delicious too.

The cheese steaks are my favorite. All the food is delicious. Whenever I get a steak anywhere else I compare them to Bert's. They are the gold standard for me.
A friend of mine asked if I ever tried Bert's before. I told him I hadn't even heard of the place. Well, that changed the other night as I drove from the airport in search of a cheese steak for dinner. I opted for Bert's bc I wanted to try something other than a regular cheese steak from Philly. Finding parking was difficult, but that only made my steak journey even better. I entered a small establishment to find a man, who asked what I would like to order?! I advised that I wanted two cheese steaks, both with fried onions, and one with ketchup and mayo. Additionally, I asked for a side or fries (yea, I was starving, so this was going to be my on the way home meal). Simple. He took my order and a woman rang up my items. Approximately, 15 mins later, I had my food. I couldn't wait to try the fries. Damn, they were good. I couldn't believe the fries were fresh, salted, and yummy. I arrived home and quicky got into my cheese steak. The bread was soft and contents were tasty. I was so happy I gave Bert's a shot. Guess what, I'll be back for all of my cheese steak needs from here on out! Thanks Bert's!!
Bert's is a city gem. One of the only places that has remained while others have left from old age, laziness, or gentrification. But Bert's has withstood all the shenanigans. Their Turkey hoagies bang and they are always sooo pleasant when I go. I'll always go there for as long as they remain.
I loved this little hole-in-the-wall place conveniently located near Cooper hospital. The staff was very friendly, it appeared to be a family-run business and the cheesesteak was delicious. we will definitely check this place out again the next time we find ourselves in Camden which is not that often.
I tried Bert's cheesesteak for the first time last week.... It was a pretty good steak.. Plenty of meat, they had fried long hots and some other little fried peppers that weren't all that hot... My buddy and I sat there eating and talking to the girl that works there for awhile... NIce people working there.. The steak was so good that it was still tender after it had cooled off while we were talking... I think I found another place that I'd go out of my way to eat when it crosses my mind... They stay open til about 11pm every day..
